Predrag Matvejevic
He teached French Literature at the University of Zagarbia first and then Slavic Literature at the University La Sapienza in Rome (1994-2007).In January 2000 the UN High Commissariat for the Ex-Yugoslavian territories charged him as expert of the area. He was appointed advisor to the European Council for the Mediterranean area under Prodi’s Presidency. He actually is vicepresident of the PEN Club International of London, co-foundator and president of the Scientific Committee of theFondazione Mediterraneo of Naples. He also worked as writer, among his works: Mediterranean Breviary (1987), Other Europe’s Epistolary (1992), Mondo ex (1996), The Lords of War (1999).
