Graduated in Law at the University of Genoa, he is on the National Register of Lawyers. He started his career at the Alessandria Savings Bank as an employee, becoming Manager in 1987 and Director in 1997. In 1992 Sovico was appointed Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Society and in 2001 Deputy-General Director of the Bank. Since May 2005 he is Director of the Alessandria Savings Bank Foundation.
