He is the Italian National Coordinator of the Tavola della Pace (Table for Peace), the body that every two years organizes the march for peace between Perugia and Assisi (Italy)joined by hundreds of lay and religious organisations, local authorities and hundred thousands of people. He is also Director of the Co-ordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights, the structure gathering 650 Italian Cities, Provinces and Regions. He is Member of the International Council of the World Social Forum and of the World Council of the Association “United Cities and Local Government”. Founder and member of the Executive Committee of the European net of local authorities for peace in the Middle East, he is also founder and Member of the Bureau of the Municipal Alliance for Peace, gathering the national associations of the Palestinian, Israeli and world local authorities. Member of the International Committee of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty, he is among the founders and coordinators of the Italian Coalition against Poverty and founder and coordinator of the ONU Assembly of Peoples and of the Campaign “Reclaim our UN”.
