The World Political Forum took part in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Denmark to submit to the attention of the participants the Memorandum for a World Water Protocol which has been elaborated by the international conference «Peace with Water», held in February 2009 in collaboration with the European Parliament Groups.

The Regional Council of Piedmont and the World Political Forum organized in Turin a public discussion on the theme: “1989 - Year of the political Earthquake in Europe”. Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the popular revolutions which have transformed the political landscape in Eastern Europe, this event provided an occasion to reflect on the sources and driving forces of these historic changes.

Journalists and news executives from 29 countries representing six continents met in San Servolo (Venice), Italy, on October 10 and 11 to challenge the international media to improve public understanding of the impact of climate change.
