Professional Journalist since 1961, he has been correspondent from Warsaw in the years of Walesa and Jaruzelski, from Moscow during Gorbachev’s governance. He was reporter in Beijing and Kabul, Teheran and Santiago, Cairo and Berlin. He travelled as special correspondent and was head of the Rome desk of “Famiglia Cristiana”. His direct experience of the places that built the world history, gave him the chance to deepen the knowledge of Islam, of Oriental Churches, of Communism and post-Communism, with particular attention to the relations with the Western World.
